Traditional Barn |
This modern 4 bedroom barn conversion has created a perfect space for parties and entertaining. All the original timbers were saved and treated to maintain the charm of this building. Modern additions such as the triangular window to the gable and the large bi-folding doors fill the property with light. |
Grade II Listed Barn
This grade II listed barn was in need of some love when our client purchased it. As it was listed our opportunities for redevelopment meant using the existing fabric of the barn. We designed two extension to the barn to create a spacious family home and capture the most picturesque views of the arboretum. The team painstakingly saved every brick from the original construction and rebuilt the barn on the same footprint, our extensions were then added to create link and the space needed for the family. |
Stable Block - A place to play
The brief for the conversion of this former stable block was a bit different from our normal briefs. The clients wanted to create a space for their family to play. We were enchanted by the picturesque setting of this stable and could imagine the fun that this family could have here catching tadpoles and running around. We thermally upgraded the building to keep it cosy for the family in winter and provided a large cantilever deck overlooking the stream. The project has an EPC rating of A meaning the running costs of the conversion are negligible. |
Derelict Dairy
This derelict dairy in rural Melton Mowbray has been transformed into a chic country bungalow. Using the relaxation in planning law this development was undertaken through the Class Q permitted development legislation which allows for the conversion of agricultural buildings to dwellings without planning permission. The existing structure was retained to create this residential property with a sweeping drive and generous garden. |
